tangent

A departure from the ordinary, tangent explores the limitless possibilities of alternative white wines . Offering fresh, crisp and vibrant wines of pure varietal character, tangent is the first California winery to focus solely on alternative white wines. The concept was conceived by the third grape-growing generation of the Edna Valley Niven family. tangent wines are made by veteran winemaker Christian Roguenant, primarily from grapes grown here. Their first offering includes Albariņo, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, and a blend called Ecclestone, all bottled under screwcap. The tasting room is located at 5828 Orcutt Road, SLO, CA 93401, where tangent is poured along side sister-brand Baileyana. Open daily, 10am-5pm.
